The little mediaeval village of Simignano lies in the hilly area "Montagnola Senese" at the southeast of Siena. Its origins go back to the 10th century. Fields, ilex groves and chestnut woods surround it. It is near to many big centers of art and history like Siena (18 km), Colle Val d'Elsa (17 km), Florence (60 km), San Gimignano (35 km), Pisa (75 km). Also the countryside invites you to stop and look, to walk and to relax, maybe while a bath at the river (15 km) or for a day at the sea (70-90 km).
